Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha criticized the Congress and CPIM parties for their oppressive reign in the state stating that the people have finally broken free from their dark rule since the BJP came into power.
Addressing a significant gathering in the 8-Town Bordowali Assembly Constituency, his own constituency, Dr. Saha expressed his gratitude to the 1309 voters who recently joined the BJP, welcoming them into the party.
"I extend a warm welcome to the individuals who have joined the BJP today. Senior members have remarked that such a massive gathering has never been witnessed before in the 8-Town Bordowali Assembly Constituency. This demonstrates that when you work for the people, their support naturally follows. In the past, we have seen an MLA from this assembly who behaved as if they were all-knowing. They switched parties around four times, resembling the life cycle of cockroaches. Unfortunately, people believed in them, but it seems this cycle is likely to continue in the future as well. Their focus was solely on obtaining an election ticket," stated Dr. Saha.
The CM emphasized that in the past, the people had no alternative as the only choices available were the CPI(M), who were known for engaging in acts of terrorism, rape, murder, and suppressing democracy.
"During their 35-year rule, they indulged in all of these activities. The only other option at that time was the Congress party, and people also placed their trust in them. However, they failed to deliver for the people. The last 35 years were marked by a culture of murder, violence, terrorism, rape, and similar atrocities. Fortunately, the people have now risen above this culture," said the CM.
Dr. Saha further stated that the Congress and CPIM parties are frustrated due to the lack of support from the people.
