Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said that people in West Bengal are eagerly waiting June 4th for the BJP's victory to restore peace in the state, which is under Trinamool Congress’s misrule.
“People are now coming out against the Trinamool Congress and its government in Bengal. There is misrule in Bengal. There is no peace. Everyone is waiting for the results on June 4th for the victory of BJP. People want a peaceful environment in West Bengal. People from all parts of West Bengal are waiting to bring back the peace, ancient culture, and tradition of West Bengal,” he said.
Dr. Saha said while participating in an election campaign in support of BJP-nominated candidate Tapas Roy in North Kolkata, West Bengal on Thursday.
A large number of BJP leaders and workers participated in the event to support Tapas Roy.
In an interaction with the media, the Chief Minister strongly criticized the various activities of the current Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal.
Responding to questions about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's offensive statements regarding sadhu sants and disobeying the High Court order, Dr. Saha said, “She is not in her right mind at present. What else can I say? She says whatever she wants. It should not be said like that. If you have any questions or do not follow the instructions, go to the Supreme Court. But it’s not right to speak against the judge or the court.”
In response to another question about the BJP candidate, Dr. Saha said, “Our candidate Tapas Roy will win this election. He is a decent, good man, a hard worker. His past shows that when there is trouble, he acts. The Bharatiya Janata Party has nominated the right person. I am sure Tapas Roy will win with a huge majority. And the people are with the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
