Performing surgery on 10-years old boy Tripura Cm Dr. Manik Saha sets example beside political sphere

Setting an example beside the political sphere, the Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday visited his old workplace here at Agartala Tripura Medical College (TMC) hospital and performed a dental surgery.

At 9 am on Wednesday the Chief Minister performed Oral Cystic Lesion of a 10-year-old boy and came out of the operation theatre at 9:30 am with a smile on face saying Akshit Ghosh, son of Sukanta Ghosh, is in good condition post-surgery.

He was assisted by Dr Amit Lal Goswami, Dr Puja Debnath, Dr Rudra Prasad Chakrabarty of Dental Surgery and Maxilla Facial Surgery department. Dr Smita Paul, Dr Kanchan Das, Dr Sharmishtha Banik Sen and Dr Baishali Saha were also part of the medical team.

“After assuming charge as Chief Minister, today I performed Oral Cystic Lesion surgery after a gap of almost one year on a child at my old workplace i.e. Tripura Medical College,” said CM Dr. Manik Saha.

He said, “In the presence of old colleagues, everything felt completely the same as before.”
