Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday laid the foundation stone virtually for the construction of 10 hostel buildings under the PM-Janman scheme in at least four districts of the state and said that the Tripura government is committed for the development of the indigenous tribes of the state.
Addressing the event, the Chief Minister Dr Saha said that the government is determined to ensure quality education as well as the best facilities to the students belonging to the tribal sections of the remote towns in Tripura.
The government is continuously working to improve the education of the people by providing scholarships to the students, upgradation of the hostels, providing facilities to the hostels and giving priority to the issues related to modern education, he said, adding that the PM Janaman scheme is a dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to bring tribal communities into the mainstream.
He said, “After taking charge as the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi has given top priority to the development and progress of the people. Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM Janaman) initiative has been taken to reach all kinds of government facilities to the Very Vulnerable Janjati Group (PVTG) families located in 22,000 tribal-dominated villages and 200 districts of the country.”
