In yet another significant development, the Gomati district and Ganganagar RD Block in Tripura received prestigious Prime Minister’s Excellence Award in Public Administration 2024.
The award was presented in the category of 'Holistic Development of Districts' at the Civil Services Day celebration in New Delhi, on April 21.
District Magistrate of Gomati district Tarit Kanti Chakma received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant milestone in the district’s journey of governance and development.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha hailed the recognition and stated, “This achievement showcases the district's remarkable progress and unwavering dedication to excellence.”
On the other hand, Ganganagar, an aspirational block in Tripura's Dhalai district, has been honored with the prestigious PM Excellence Award 2024.
“Congratulations to the people of Ganganagar block and Saju Vaheed A., DM & Collector of Dhalai district, who received the award from Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji on Civil Services Day. This achievement reflects the State Government's commitment to progress in the region and showcases the block's dedication to excellence,” Dr Saha stated in his social media handle on Monday.
District Magistrate of Dhalai Tripura district Saju Wahid A had received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the category of Aspirational Blocks Programme.
Heavy rain caused widespread damage in Tripura, 445 houses affected, two Injured
