Police recover stolen jewelry, four held

AGARTALA:

The NCC police station has successfully apprehended four suspects connected to a theft incident that occurred in Khajurbagan.

The theft, reported by Ayesha Khatun on September 12, prompted a formal complaint at the NCC police station. Following the complaint, the police initiated an investigation that led to the arrest of two suspects, Mohammad Sahraab and Rahul Goala.

During interrogation, both men admitted their involvement in the theft and disclosed the identities of the individuals to whom they had sold the stolen jewelry.

Acting on this information, the police arrested Titu Chakraborty and Subrata Chakraborty and recovered the stolen gold ornaments from them. Three of the four suspects had previously been in police remand for questioning.

On Monday, all four individuals were presented before the court for further legal proceedings.
