Police Seize 41kgs of Cannabis at MBB Airport in Agartala

AGARTALA:

In a major operation on Monday, Tripura Police foiled an attempt to transport 41kgs of cannabis from the cargo terminal of MBB Airport. The contraband, which had arrived from the Indian Post Office, was destined for transportation outside of the state.

The airport authorities received a tip-off regarding two suspicious parcels, prompting them to take swift action. The vigilant officials stationed in the cargo section immediately alerted the Post Office and the local Police Stations. Despite no response from the Post Office, the law enforcement officers preceded with caution and, in accordance with the law, decided to inspect the parcels.

Upon opening the parcels, their suspicions were confirmed as they discovered 41kgs of cannabis concealed within. The illicit substance was promptly seized by the police, and investigations into the matter have been initiated.
