Voting on postal ballots for the state assembly election began from Wednesday in Tripura and it will continue till February 12 next.
Voting will be done by postal ballot in 23 places in the state from Wednesday for the next five days, said Chief Electoral Officer Kiren Gitte on Wednesday.
Speaking to the reporters the CEO said that about 40, 000 of Form 12 application has been received till Tuesday last. The office of the CEO have set up 13 rooms in Sishubihar School here in Agartala for postal ballot while in 23 locations such kind of centre have opened, he told reporters.
He however said that elaborate arrangements are made so that all the people engaged with the election work can exercise their franchise.
