The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday announced 5% DA for the employees of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd.
He said that the TSECL is likely the first public sector unit in the state to grant this allowance alongside the November salary. The allowance will cost an additional Rs 55 lakh per month.

The Minister praised the employees for their work during the recent floods, where they risked their lives to restore power services. In recognition of their dedication, a one-time small incentive allowance was awarded to them.
Regarding anti-hook line campaigns, Nath reported that from April 1 to November 28 this year, 540 campaigns were conducted, leading to the disconnection of 3,041 illegal connections and testing of 3,810 meters.
