The Tripura BJP is set to announce the names of Mandal Presidents across the state by tomorrow, according to party insiders.
Tripura comprises 60 Mandals, corresponding to its 60 Assembly Constituencies. Sources indicate that the party has initiated a complete overhaul of its grassroots leadership having already replaced booth presidents in recent weeks.
The list of Mandal Presidents has been finalized following extensive discussions led by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, BJP Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya and other senior leaders. The deliberations also included consultations with the party's central leadership, which has approved the finalized list.
Although the announcement was initially scheduled for today, logistical challenges caused a slight delay. "All names have been finalized and the central leadership has given its nod. The declaration will most likely be made tomorrow," a senior BJP leader confirmed.
The announcement is considered a critical step in bolstering the party's grassroots organization as it prepares to tackle upcoming electoral challenges in the state.
