Pradyot meets Himanta after Amit Shah’s call over appointment of interlocutor

Hours after phone call from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the TIPRA Motha supremo and the royal scion Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman met the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday night at Delhi over appointment of interlocutor to deal with the constitutional solution for the indigenous tribes of Tripura as demanded by the TIPRA Motha.

"In a follow up to yesterdays conversation with the home minister regarding the appointment of an interlocutor I met Shri @himantabiswa last evening and he will be issuing a statement in the same regard. We are interested in an honourable constitutional solution to the problem of our indigenous people of Tripura and hope that this process starts as promised within the next few days" Pradyot tweeted on Friday morning.

Earlier on Thursday morning Pradyot through his social media handle informed that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called him over phone and assured him of appointing interlocutor by March 27 next.
