Former Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik Extends Support to Families of Deceased Well Cleaners

on June 8, a tragic incident occurred in the Taibandal area of the Dhanpur Assembly constituency, claiming the lives of three young men—Shukramani Murasingh, Shambhu Debbarma and Ashok Tripura, who died while cleaning a well.

Former Union Minister of State and ex-MP of Tripura, Pratima Bhoumik, visited the bereaved families on Sunday to offer her condolences and support. Accompanied by Dhanpur MLA Bindu Debnath and other officials, Bhoumik met with the families of the deceased workers and provided them with initial financial assistance from the state government.

Expressing her deep sorrow over the incident, Bhoumik stated, “I am very saddened by this incident. With the help of our Dhanpur mandal officials, the organization will provide financial assistance of fifty thousand rupees to each family and will always stand by the families.”
