Around 600 voters from the People’s Congress, including the party's founder, Pradip Chakraborty, joined the BJP.
The joining program was spearheaded by Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit, and others at the BJP state party office in Agartala.
Speaking to the media, Bhoumik said that in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and his development initiatives, a massive joining program has commenced in our state. Every day, people from various parties are joining the BJP.
"Today, 600 voters from the People's Party, led by six leaders from different places, joined the BJP in Agartala to fulfill PM Modi's vision of a developed India. I congratulate those who have joined the BJP; their participation will strengthen the party further. To those who haven't joined yet, I urge them to join the BJP and contribute to making our country stronger," she said.
