Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today castigated the then government for not spending time on development work and for giving importance in speeches.
CM Dr. Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Jail Minister Ram Prasad Paul, food minister Manoj Kanti Deb, and labor minister Bhagaban Das has released the report card of Tripura government at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.
“Following direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi our state government is also working. In Tripura work is underway for six national highway and funds were sanctioned for more seven national highway. Work for expanding of national highway 08 is underway. A total Rs 10, 222 crore was sanctioned for the national highways. Almost 11 express trains are present in the state. In the entire country Agartala railway station is one of the best railway stations”, he said.
CM Dr Saha said he has also raised demand for intercity train from Agartala to Guwahati.
“We are working following the direction in making ‘Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura’ we want to work for people. Law and order has significantly improved. Our government is working for people and for real development maintain peace and tranquillity. As without peace and tranquillity development is not possible. PM Modi means development”, said CM.
He said nine new super speciality department has opened.
“We are working to upgrade the district hospital in a way to provide treatment like state hospital. We have deployed 24x7 mobile vehicles for police. Now women are safe and they feel good. All the police stations are 24x7. All steps were taken for the safety of woman”, Dr Saha said.
He further said, “We have given 12% DA to people. Now opposition are saying that the government is bound to give the DA. What they have given to government employees? People had to protest. And now protest is not necessary whatever we promise we fulfil it. We believe in work not in action. Earlier government knew how to talk and in terms of work is zero”.
