With the history unfolded through Pran Pratistha of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, the Northeastern states of Tripura joined the rest of the country as Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha performed ‘Maha Yagna’ here at Agartala Durgabari temple on Monday morning.
The event started from Monday morning with the devotees performing Ram Bhajan and other devotional activities. A large number of devotees took part in the Maha Yagna event on Monday, which was organized to mark the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha at Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister on Monday also performed Puja of Lord Ram here at Agartala Kaman Chowmuhni area, organized by the Bordowali Mandal of the BJP. Series of programmes followed by Ram Bhajan were performed across the state on Monday.
Donning a golden kurta and a cream-coloured dhoti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the rituals of "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony at the "historic" Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday.
Thousands of people across the capital town of Agartala along with the rest of the parts of the state watched the live-telecast of the ceremony on their televisions.
