The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday slammed the previous Left front government of the CPI-M party for adopting ‘divide and rule’ policy. He claimed that the ruling BJP government adheres to the policy of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’.
Nath was addressing a joining programme of the ruling BJP party at Lefunga in West district. As many as 270 tribal voters from different opposition parties including the TIPRA Motha had joined the BJP on Wednesday in presence of the minister.
“The newly joined voters had understood their mistake of voting for the other parties. After 4 months of the last assembly election, they understood that there is no alternative to the BJP in the country,” he said.
He slammed the then Left front government and said, “The CPI-M during the Left era was implementing their policy of divide and rule, while the BJP is working for all round development with a mission of Sabka Sath Sab Ka Vikas.”
“The tribals in Tripura were neglected during the 35 years rule of the Left front government. But it is the BJP government which has started working for the tribals in the state since after the formation of new government in 2018 last,” he said, adding that the party has been working diligently for the welfare of the tribal population.
