The state government has issued a significant order resulting in the major transfer of officers in charge of various police stations across the state. The order, already in effect, aims to ensure public interest and effective policing.
As per the transfer list, OC Jayanta Kumar Dey of West Agartala Police Station has been moved to the position of OC, Sonamura Police Station, while Paritosh Das, OC of Sonamura Police Station, has been transferred to West Agartala Police Station. Similarly, Inspector Rana Chatterjee of East Agartala Police Station has been reassigned to Bishalgarh Police Station as the OC.
Inspector Sanjit Sen, currently OC of Agartala GRP Police Station, will assume the role of OC of East Agartala Police Station. Following this, Sreekanta Rudrapaul, OC of Lefunga Police Station, will take up a new position in the office of the SP (West). His position at Lefunga Police Station will be filled by Inspector Sahadeb Das, OC of Lembucherra Outpost. Inspector Raju Bhowmik, OC of Sidhai Police Station, has been moved to the Traffic Department, Agartala. He will be succeeded at Sidhai Police Station by Inspector Siti Kanta Bardhan.
In addition, OC Kakraban Gurupada Debnath has been relocated to Ambassa Police Station, and Inspector Bharat Debbarma, OC of Twaidu Police Station, has been reassigned to Chhailenga Police Station. His role at Twaidu Police Station will be taken over by Inspector Bipin Debbarma, formerly OC of Chhailengta Police Station. Inspector Tapas Das, OC of Bishalgarh Police Station, has been designated as the new OC of Agartala GRP Police Station. Inspector Biswajit Debbarma, former OC of Ambassa, has been assigned to the office of SP (North), while Inspector Ajit Debbarma, OC of Teliamura Police Station, has been transferred to Champahaor Police Station. The previous OC of Champahaor Police Station, Sukramoni Debbarma, will now be based in the office of SP (South). Sub-Inspector Sanjib Sarkar, OC of Manu Bankul Police Station, has been posted to the office of SP (North), and Sub-Inspector Rupak Baidya, previously in Dhalai district, has been appointed as the new OC of Manu Bankul Outpost.
