Rule of law has completely broken down in Tripura: Asish Saha

AGARTALA:

Pradesh Congress Committee President Ashish Kumar Saha stated today that there is widespread anarchy in the state, claiming that the rule of law has completely broken down.

“The people of the state are suffering from insecurity, with six murders and seven crimes against women reported during the festival month. Misrule is occurring in the name of good governance, and people are currently living in anxiety,” Saha said.

He further alleged that efforts are being made to undermine the solidarity march organized by the Congress. Saha made these remarks while leading the Sanhati Padyatra, which is taking place across the state in response to a call from the Pradesh Congress to promote a better, united, secular, and progressive India.

This padyatra commenced on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and will continue until November 19. As part of the initiative, a solidarity march was organized by the Sadar District Congress on Tuesday, specifically in the Sevak Sangh area of Town No. 8 Bardowali assembly constituency.

Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, the Pradesh Mahila Congress president, along with numerous Congress workers and supporters, participated in the padyatra.
