On the occasion of the upcoming by-elections of 20-Boxanagar and 23-Dhanpur assembly constituencies, a meeting was held at Sonamura sub-divisional magistrate’s office recently.
Sub-divisional police officer Shashimohan Debbarma and representatives of various political parties were present in the meeting presided over by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manik Lal Das.
In the meeting, Sub- Divisional Magistrate emphasized on maintaining the atmosphere of peace among the common people in the respective areas during the by-election process of these 2 assembly constituencies to be held on September 5.
He also sought everyone's cooperation in making the polling process free, fair and peaceful on the day of the by-election. Besides, he stressed on the overall completion of the election process as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
