Special traffic drive in GB Bazar to control congestion

AGARTALA:

In a bid to ease traffic congestion and maintain order on the roads, the traffic police conducted a special drive in the GB Bazar area of the capital this morning. The operation focused on removing several motorbikes that were improperly parked, violating traffic regulations.

The traffic police emphasized that such drives are part of ongoing efforts to control the growing traffic challenges in the city. By taking strict actions against vehicles parked in violation of rules, they aim to ensure smoother traffic flow and prevent roadblocks in busy areas.

A traffic police officer remarked, “Our goal is to keep the city as traffic-free as possible. We are taking action against vehicles parked incorrectly to improve traffic conditions. Such drives will also be extended to other key areas of the city to ensure better compliance.”

The police also urged residents to park their vehicles according to traffic regulations to help in creating a more organized and hassle-free commuting experience for everyone.

As part of the ongoing initiative, the authorities are expected to increase vigilance and carry out similar operations in other parts of the city to prevent unlawful parking and reduce congestion.
