Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday claimed that Tripura ranks first in blood donation in terms of population in the country.
“People donate money, education, eye donation, body donation and many other things. But there is no alternative to blood donation. People are aware and come forward to donate blood on any auspicious occasion today. Due to such enthusiasm of people, 42 thousand 481 units of blood were collected in 2022-23. Tripura ranks first in blood donation in terms of population in the country”, said Minister Nath while speaking at a function organized on the 25th anniversary of Teresa Diagnostic Center on Wednesday.
He said Teresa Diagnostic Center has decided to set up a multi-specialty hospital in the state.
“Advance greetings from the state government for this because it is not possible to do all the work by the government. The state government is happy to take such a decision on behalf of this organization”, said Nath.
The minister assured that all kinds of cooperation will be provided in the coming days.
2460 people are working in 164 diagnostic centers in the state. Newly 791 drug shops have been opened in Agartala city. The minister presented this information. The job will not be wanted. Job must be given. In this way, more than 22 thousand people are working in 12 subjects in the city area.
Mayor Dipak Majumdar along with officials of the organization were also present in the event organized on this day. Minister and Mayor visited the blood donation camp on this day and congratulated the blood donors. The Minister appreciated such initiative by being responsible to the society.
