Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced on Friday that initiatives will be taken to upgrade the technology of Vande Tripura, the dedicated educational channel aimed at providing better education to students.
Dr. Saha said this while visiting Vande Tripura channel at Shiksha Bhawan in Agartala on Friday.
“The present state government is committed to providing quality education to the students. The government is working in that direction. The present time is the age of technology. Everyone should work in such a way that students benefit in the field of study,” he said.
On this day, the Chief Minister toured the office along with the officials of the Education Department.
He gathered necessary information and details about the infrastructure of the educational channel.
Later, speaking with reporters, Dr. Saha said, "When I am at home, I often watch Vande Tripura. So today I came to see it on the ground. Initiatives will be taken for the up-gradation of this channel in various aspects. Necessary steps will be taken by consulting with the officials, especially for technical upgrades. This channel needs to be improved. For this reason, I have given several suggestions to the concerned officials."
The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to providing quality education to the children of the state.
“It is very important to keep students updated on various topics. Now is the age of technology. Along with this, the students should also be kept updated. It should be ensured that the channel can be expanded in both English and Bengali mediums. Many issues have been discussed today. The channel studio needs to improve a bit more,” said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of providing information on various important subjects to students through pen drives.
Additionally, he emphasized obtaining regular feedback from the students about the channel.
He assured that he himself would visit schools to inquire about the matter if necessary.
During the visit, the Chief Minister was accompanied by the Director of Higher Education Department NC Sharma and other officials.
