Sudhangshu holds rally, urges protection for Hindu Minorities in Bangladesh

AGARTALA:

In a passionate call for international attention, Tripura SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das spearheaded a rally in Fatikroy Assembly Constituency, Unakoti District, to advocate for the protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.

This demonstration follows recent reports of increased violence against Hindus in the neighboring country since the resignation of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister.

Das, who also serves as the Minister for Animal Resources Development (ARDD), addressed a large crowd organized by the Fatikroy Hindu Samaj.

The rally was convened in response to disturbing reports of attacks on Hindu communities in Bangladesh, including vandalism of temples, assaults, and destruction of property.

In his address, Das condemned the alleged systematic violence targeting Hindus, describing the actions as “pre-planned and barbaric.”

He highlighted the severity of the situation, noting the destruction of Hindu homes and the forced displacement of communities.

Das appealed to both the interim government of Bangladesh and the Indian government to intervene and ensure the safety and security of the Hindu minority.

“We demand immediate protective measures to safeguard Hindu properties and communities,” he said.
