The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Tuesday announced the dates for the examinations of Higher Secondary and Madhyamik starting from March 01 next year.
Addressing a press conference here in the board office on Tuesday, the TBSE president Dr Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury said that the Madhyamik examinations will begin from March 2, while the examinations for the Higher Secondary will begin from March 1 next year.
Dr. Chowdhury said that the number of candidates has decreased this year due to the implementation of the Vidyajyoti scheme, which provides free education to students from economically weaker sections. The estimated number of Madhyamik students is 38,538 and the estimated number of candidates for Higher Secondary examination is 27,608.
There will be 69 centers and 144 venues across the state for the Madhyamik examination and 60 centers and 98 venues for the Higher Secondary examination, he told reporters.
Dr. Chowdhury said that the TBSE has taken all the necessary measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams and the safety of the students.
