Ten senior leaders including General Secretary of Congress Prasanta Bhattacharya and former Trinamool Congress President Asish Lal Singh joined BJP today.
Speaking with reporters, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Chowdhury claimed that in Pradesh Congress Committee is nowhere and their real faces have come up in the last Assembly election as they formed alliances with CPIM.
“There was a time when leaders fought against CPIM and many leaders, and people have sacrificed themselves to establish Congress but forgetting all such things today Congress in Tripura has come up with CPIM, and people have rejected them. Because of the development works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi people of Tripura have formed the government for the second time. Earlier we saw the many people couldn’t accept the alliance of Congress and CPIM and so we have urged them to support BJP”, he said.
Today in front of BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharya, General Secretary Amit Rakhsit the former TMC state president Asish Lal Singh, General Secretary and Candidate of Assembly Election for TMC Koheli Das, Secretary of TMC Krishankanta Debnath, Biswanath Ghosh, Swpandip Chakraborty joined BJP.
While from Congress, General Secretary and Spokesperson Prasanta Bhattacharya, Sudharsan Majumder, Sadar District Secretary, Rajib Das, Asish Deb, and CITU state committee member Surajit Bhattacharya joined BJP.

Major hike of salaries for Ministers, MLAs as bill passed in Tripura assembly
