Three Bangladeshi Nationals arrested in Kumarghat

Tripura Police have arrested three Bangladeshi nationals in Kumarghat while they were working as daily wage laborers. The arrest was made by Kumarghat Police Station on Monday, sparking renewed discussions on illegal infiltration in Tripura.

The arrested individuals have identified themselves as residents of Sylhet, Bangladesh. According to their statements, they have been residing in Tripura for the past seven months. They also admitted to having crossed the international border illegally with the assistance of a broker.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain whether the arrested individuals were involved in any other illegal activities. The police are also looking into the network facilitating such illegal crossings.
