Three held with narcotics of Rs 4 crore in poll bound Tripura

In yet another achievement, Tripura Police today seized Heroin and Yaba tablets of Rs 4.10 crore and arrested three persons from Ambassa.

In a press release, Tripura Police said that in a significant achievement against drug trafficking, today Suman Majumder, SDPO, Ambassa along with Inspector Biswajit Debbarma, OC Ambassa PS and Inspector Surjya Kr. Jamatia, OC Ganganagar Police Station along with police and personnel of C/17 SSB(CAPF) seized approx 4 Kg of Heroin contained in 289 cases and 10,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs. 4.10 Crore from one vehicle bearing Registration No.TR07D-0240(Baleno).

The police has also arrested three involved persons namely Mahabul Ali, Abul Kalam, Jaher Miah, all of Boxanagar, under Kalamchoura have been detained in this connection. A case is being registered in this regard for further necessary legal action.
