In a recent development, three members of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) would take oath as Executive Members on May 18.
CK Jamatia, Chief Executive Officer of the TTAADC in a letter to the secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department has said that as per the decision of the competent authority of TTAADC, three Members of District Council will be inducted as Executive Members of TTAADC on May 18 at 12.00 noon at the Nuai Auditorium, TTAADC, Khumulwng in West Tripura.
The three MDCs are Rabindra Debbarma, Ananta Debbarma and Runeil Debbarma.
“On May 18 at 12.00-noon Oath taking ceremony of the Executive Member will take place at Nuai Auditorium, TTAADC Khumulwng and for this purpose under section 166A (1) of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Election and Conduct of Business) Rules, 1985 an Officer may be appointed by the Governor of Tripura for conducting /administering Oath of Office and of Secrecy”, the order reads.
He further has written to the Director General of Tripura Police, Amitabha Ranjan has requested the deployment of adequate security in connection with Oath Taking Ceremony.
“In inviting a reference to the subject cited above, I am directed to inform you that the Oath Taking Ceremony of the new Executive Members of the District Council is scheduled to be held on 18th May 2023 at 12.00 noon at NUAI Auditorium, TTAADC. In this regard, I would request you to kindly make necessary arrangements for the deployment of adequate security at NUAI Auditorium, at 9.00 am sharp on May 18 for escorting MDCS from MDC Hostel, Agartala to NUAI Auditorium, Khumulwng and back”, it reads.
