A team of athletics of Tripura is ready to leave for Delhi tomorrow to participate in 66th National School Sports. Three teams of gymnastics, swimming and athletics will leave the state for Delhi and Madhya Pradesh tomorrow morning by train to participate in the 66th National School Sports Competition.
The Under 19 National School Sports Competition will be held from June 6 to 12 in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal and Gwalior). Dibyendu Dutta, Joint Secretary of Tripura School Sports Board informed this news today.
He said, 10 boys and girls in gymnastics, 9 boys and girls in swimming and 19 boys and girls in athletics will participate in this competition. Already these players have been given 10 days residential training at different places.
Today jerseys, track shirts and track suits were distributed among coaches, managers and players. He said that players will participate in a total of 15 events from the state in this year's competition.
The events are Football, Basketball, Kabari, Kho-Kho, Swimming, Gymnastics, Athletics, Yoga, Chess, Handball, Hockey, Badminton, Judo, Volleyball and Table Tennis.
