Three thieves held in city in connection with a series of robberies

AGARTALA:

In a significant breakthrough, the NCC Police Station has apprehended three individuals in connection with a series of robberies involving both money and gas cylinders from local shops and residences.

The arrests were made following a written complaint lodged by one ration shop owner Dipak Saha of Kunjban, reporting a theft of two and a half lakh rupees from his shop and the alleged robbery of gas cylinders from his residence.

The police swung into action promptly after receiving the complaint, initiate a thorough investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of the suspects. The accused have been identified and stolen gas cylinders have been successfully recovered from them.

A police official, speaking on the condition of anonymity shared that during the interrogation, the arrested individuals admitted to their involvement in the thefts. They disclosed information about the gang's modus operandi and how they had distributed the stolen money among themselves.
