Three youths arrested in Agartala Railway Station with cannabis

AGARTALA:

The Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested 3 youths with 17 kg of dry cannabis from Agartala-Secunderabad Express on Saturday morning in Agartala Railway Station.

Police sources said that they tried to smuggle cannabis to Bihar by rail. According to the police, the operation was successful in the morning on the information of a secret source. The arrestee persons were identified as Nitish Kumar, Rishu Kumar and Gulshan Kumar, who all are residents of Bihar.

During the interrogation of the police, the three youths said that they were trying to take the cannabis to Bihar.

“Their intention was to smuggle this cannabis to Bihar. Later, we have registered a case against the three youths under the NDPS section and will produce them before the court seeking three-day police remand. If the court grants three-day police remand to the 3 youths, they will be interrogated”
