Additionally, more than 500 bags of essential materials were distributed to families, including 400+ bags within the camp and also to families who visited from other nearby camps and an additional 100+ bags to families in neighbouring areas on the way, impacting over 1000 people, including children. Students, teaching and non teaching staff members were led by the VC of TIUT, Prof. R. K. Saha to the camp.
TIUT extends its deepest appreciation to Jitendra Majumder, MLA, Kakraban; Tridip Sarkar, SDM, Udaipur Subdivision, Anindya Dutta Majumder, BDO, Kakraban; Biswajit Sarkar, Eminent personality, Kakraban; Sanjit Adhikari, Panchayat Pradhan, for extending all kinds of help in organising this event and also for visiting the camp. The university is also grateful to Narayan Chandra Das, Principal-in-Charge, and Smt. Manna Debbarma, Vice Principal of Kakraban HS School, for providing the school premises and their constant assistance.
TIUT remains committed to its mission to create socially responsible citizens. This initiative not only provided immediate relief to those in needs but also strengthened the bonds within the community during this time of crisis.
