In a devastating incident on the Assam Agartala National Highway, a head-on collision between a long-haul lorry and a passenger-laden vehicle has left five individuals injured. The collision occurred in the Bankumari area of Baramura Hill, shaking the tranquil stretch of the highway.
Details of the incident reveal that a small car bearing the number plate TR 07D 0420 was en route from Teliamura to Agartala. Meanwhile, a long-distance lorry originating from Agartala was making its journey towards Teliamura. The unfortunate collision transpired as both vehicles attempted a turn at Bankumari area, nestled within the scenic Baramura Hills.
Eyewitnesses immediately alerted the Teliamura fire brigade, which swiftly dispatched their personnel to the scene. The firefighters, upon arrival, promptly attended to the injured victims, administering immediate aid. Subsequently, the injured were expedited to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for further medical attention.
