In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded today, a 62-year-old resident of Khowai’s Padmabil, one Manoranjan Debbarma, lost his life after being struck by a Maruti car on the national highway adjacent to the Khowai Padmabile block.
The unfortunate incident occurred earlier today, prompting the swift response of the local fire brigade. Upon receiving the distress call, the firemen rushed to the accident site and successfully rescued Manoranjan from the scene. He was promptly transported to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention.
Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
