Tripura begins pulse polio vaccination drive

AGARTALA:

To eradicate Poliomyelitis and to vaccinate all children under five years of age against polio virus, a 3-day long State-wide Intensified Pulse Polio Vaccination Program was started on Sunday at Agartala Government College of Nursing.

Secretary of the state health and family welfare department Kiran Gitte inaugurated the programme and said that to continue the campaign against polio, it is very important to give two drops of polio dose to every child in the age group of 0-5 years. He urged every family in the state to administer polio doses to their children.

Mission Director of National Health Mission Rajeev Dutta, Director of Family Welfare and Disease Prevention Department Dr Supriya Mallik and others were present in the launching programme on Sunday.
