Directorate of Information Technology received the award for implementing Beneficiary Management System platform initiative, which had a significant impact on States benefits delivery system,
The department's award-winning initiative, Beneficiary Management System (BMS-DBT platform), was introduced in 2020-21 and has since onboarded 100 nos, welfare schemes from 23 nos. Departments with end-to-end online mode and out of the total 39,48,350 population as per the Tripura Ration Card Database around 11,60,912 Beneficiaries has been covered so far with Rs. 1594.30 Cr. DBT disbursement. Key features of BMS include accountability, transparency, fake beneficiary elimination, improvement in benefits delivery process, paperless processing, huge reduction in response times, increased citizen engagement etc.
The 15th national digital transformation conclave, 2024 took place on 13.12.2024 at Guwahati, Assam, where Jeya Ragul Geshan B. IFS, Director, IT, Govt. of Tripura were invited as a key speaker. Director, IT has showcased various IT initiatives of Tripura State in the conclave and following the conclave, in the award ceremony Shri Geshan have received the prestigious award. This event was attended by Government Officials from across India, Cabinet Secretariat, NIC, NeGD, CSC, PSU, Department of IT of Various States and Departments of Education, Health, Agriculture, Rural, Home Affairs, Urban, II Agencies etc of different state Governments.
