Tripura Govt committed to ensure adequate infrastructure in 125 Vidyajyoti schools: CM Dr Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr Manik Sasha on Wednesday said that the state has presently 125 Vidyajyoti schools.

In a written reply to the query of the MLA Kishore Barman, the Chief Minister said that out of 125 Vidyajyoti schools across the state, West district has 30, 11 in Unakoti district, 16 in Gomati district, 12 in South Tripura district, 15 in North Tripura district, 16 in Sepahijala district, 12 in Khowai district and 13 in Dhalai district.

Dr Saha, who also holds the education portfolio, said that the school education department has no separate guidelines for the appointment of subject teachers and other staff in Vidyajyoti schools. But the Education Department has started recruitment for the posts of Special Educator, Computer Science teacher among other subjects in all these CBSE approved schools and will soon start the recruitment process for Librarian and Digital Education teacher, he stated.

The Chief Minister said that internet services, libraries, audio visual classrooms, CCTV cameras, clean drinking water system etc. are being added in various Vidyajyoti schools along with other infrastructure.
