Chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday inaugurated the 21st annual state conference of the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura here at Agartala Dasharath Deb Memorial Auditorium and said that the government is committed to make medical hub in the state of Tripura and ensuring quality health care system.
Addressing the event, the Chief Minister Dr Saha said that Tripura has witnessed a massive transformation in the health sector, where kidney transplant is being done successfully and efforts have also been made to conduct liver transplant in the state in the coming days.
The Chief Minister said that the present government of the state is serious about the development of health services. Better health infrastructure is being developed. There are also plans to build a super specialty hospital to provide modern health services to the people of the state.
There is no dearth of talent for doctors and health workers in the state, Dr Saha said, adding that many complex problems in the health sector are currently being completed by doctors in Tripura. The number of referred patients has also decreased significantly, he added.
He said Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura has been playing a leading role in health and social programs in the state since 2002. The Chief Minister also praised the work of this organization.
