Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday distributed certificates among the students of Tripura Film and Television Institute on their completion of various courses.
Addressing the certificate distribution programme, the Chief Minister Dr Saha said that with the sincere efforts of the state government and the cooperation of Satyajit Roy Film and Television Institute, such institutions like TFTI have been made possible in the state.
53 students trained in the three courses of Screen Acting, Script Writing and Digital Editing of TFTI were given certificates at the event held here at Agartala Nazrul Kalakshetra on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talent in the state. Trainees from Tripura Film and Television Institute will play a key role in taking forward the art, culture and tradition of the state. The Chief Minister thanked the faculty from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute for the work they are doing to bring out the latent talent among the youths of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the government is mulling to introduce diploma or degree courses here in TFTI along with the long term courses in near future. Efforts will be made to develop this institute into a full-fledged institution, he said.
