In yet another significant stride towards upgrading skill development training for the youths in the Industry Training Institutes in the state of Tripura, the government on Saturday announced to ink MoU with the TATA technology.
Addressing a press conference here in the conference hall of the secretariat on Saturday, minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “The partnership between the Tripura government and the TATA technology will upgrade the Industry Training Institutes in the state and ensure employment opportunities for the unemployed youths of the state.”
“The TATA technology will invest in the training institutes for the next 5 years, while the government will work on domination basis so that we can get skilled technical persons from the institutes,” he said, adding that multiple vocational training with advanced technologies will be nuanced the skill of our youths.
He said, “The joint project will cost Rs 683.28 crore with 86% share of the TATA and 14% share. We will soon ink the MoU with TATA to start the project.” He also said that the Tripura government will spend an additional amount of Rs 109.06 crore for setting up infrastructure covering 13000 sq.ft for installation of machines and tools by the TATA in 19 ITIs of the state.
