Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar will join the nomination filing by the I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidate and congress state president Ashish Kumar Saha on Wednesday.
Announcing this in a press conference here at Agartala Congress Bhavan, party MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, “Kanhaiya Kumar will visit the state on Wednesday and soon he will join the nomination filling rally of our I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidate Ashish Kumar Saha.”
He said that all the Congress leaders and activists will gather in front of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan and a procession will move through different streets of the city before Ashish Saha files his nomination.
Kanhaiya Kumar had joined Congress in the presence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi back in 2021.
Congress has fielded its state president and former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha from the West Tripura constituency against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Biplab Kumar Deb, who is a former chief minister of Tripura.
