Tripura along with the rest of the nation on Sunday marked the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Namo Vikas Utsav at Kumarghat PWD ground.
The event which puts forth a specific slogan: "2024 Modi Ji Once More" was organised by the Pabiacherra Mandal Committee of the BJP under the leadership of MLA and former minister Bhagaban Das.
The former Chief Minister and presently the Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb has inaugurated the day-long programme and underlined the major achievements of the PM Modi-led government at the Centre. He said that the Modi government at the centre has brought genuine empowerment to the women across the country.
He said that Tripura has also been witnessing a major transformation in terms of development of every sector, where the women are becoming self-reliant through the Self-Help Groups.
All major states of the country participated in the Namo Vikas Utsav on Sunday, where 73 people with special needs were distributed with aid, 73 beneficiaries were distributed with ration cards and 73 holy books of Gita was distributed among the people of Kumarghat. A cultural programme was held in the event, where the artists from different parts of the country including the local artists participated.
