The state science and technology minister Animesh Debbarma on Friday inaugurated the observance of National Science Day programme here at Agartala Sukanta Academy and emphasized on encouraging the youths in science and technology to build Viksit Bharat.
Addressing the programme, the minister said that The Department of Science, Technology and Environment should consider the needs of the general public and develop public awareness about science and technology. Students should be encouraged to present new science models on innovative energy issues, he added.
“As technology is changing along with the passage of the time we have to move forward accordingly. Science education should be given priority to empower the youth. A country and a nation cannot progress without science and technology,” Debbarma said, adding that professors and teachers should motivate students in science education.
