TRIPURA: Restriction imposed on sale of petrol, diesel as landslide hits Assam

AGARTALA:

As a massive landslide at Jatinga in Assam has hit the goods train movement to Tripura, the Tripura has imposed restrictions on sale of petrol and diesel.

As per the restriction, petrol amounting to Rs. 200 is allotted for two-wheeler and three-wheelers per day, while petrol amounting to Rs. 500 per day for four-wheelers. Fuel pumps were asked to sell only 60 ltrs of diesel to a bus per day and 40 ltrs for mini-buses and for auto-rickshaws and three-wheelers – 15 ltrs per day.

The railway track was badly affected due to landslides in Jatinga at Assam’s Dima Hasao district, but although the train service has began from April 26 last, trains are still not allowed to run on tracks during the night hours.
