As the government is contemplating to the boost the tourism sector of the states, Tripura will make its place in the country’s tourism map by the next 2 years, said tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday.
Participating in the general discussion on the state budget as proposed by the finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, the
tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that Tripura will be able to play an important role in the coming days in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of building a developed India.
“This year's state budget has been prepared accordingly. This budget is highly relevant and has been prepared keeping in mind the people of every section,” he added.
He highlighted the development of the state in the fields of education, health, agriculture, welfare of the people, expansion of tourism etc. He said that various plans are being implemented to revamp the education system. He mentioned development of rural health infrastructure, Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sammannidhi for agricultural progress, purchase of paddy at subsidized price etc.
He said that work is underway to take Tripura to a significant place in the tourism map of the country within the next 2 years. He said that those who are opposing this budget are opposing the aspirations of the people of the state.
