In a significant breakthrough, Tripura Police have apprehended two individuals believed to be connected to the daring thefts that occurred simultaneously at three government offices in Gandhigram late last night. The coordinated heists targeted Gandhigram Tehsil Kachari, Fisheries Officer's office in Bamutia and the Water Pump Department (DWS).
As per police the audacious thefts involved a range of stolen items including computer UPS units from Tehsil and water purifiers along with other valuables from the Water Pump DWS office. The criminals left a trail of disruption in their wake, highlighting the vulnerability of government establishments even in seemingly secure areas.
Upon receiving reports of the coordinated thefts, the Airport police station promptly initiated an investigation into the incidents. The dedicated efforts of law enforcement personnel quickly led to the identification and subsequent arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in the criminal activities. The arrested individuals, whose identities have not been disclosed at this time, are now in police custody. Authorities have submitted a request to the court for a 5-day police remand to facilitate further investigation into the case.
