Two held with cannabis worth Rs 10 crore in poll bound Tripura

Enforcement task force along with CAPF seized huge cache of cannabis of Rs 10 crore from Churaibari in North district.

In a joint operation by local law enforcement task force along with CAPF made a major bust today, seizing a large quantity 519 kg dry Ganja (Cannabis) estimated value of Rs. 10 crore in a coordinated operation under the leadership of Dhruvajyoti Debbarma, Inspector of Churaibari police station of North Tripura district.

During search operation a 14 wheeler truck bearing registration no. RJ-19GF-7019 moving from Udaipur, Gomati district to Karimganj, Assam was searched and found to be carrying dry Ganja.

Two persons namely Ranjit Debbarma (20) and Surya Jamatia (19) have been arrested by the law enforcement agency. A Specific NDPS case has been registered in Churaibari PS. The investigation is going on and more arrests are expected.
