In a significant operation, the Tripura Police uncovered a stash of illicit substances, seizing a total of 650 bottles of Phensidyl and Eskuf banned cough syrups and arrested two persons from a residence in Bejimara under Sonamura Sub-division of Tripura’s Sepahijala district.
Officer In charge of Sonamura Police Station Paritosh Das said that the estimated market value of the confiscated contraband would be around Rs 5 lakh.
“The operation, conducted based on undisclosed intelligence, led authorities to the residence of Sabuj Rahman. Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the seizure who were identified as Jalil Miah and Alamgir Hussain of Jatrapur under Sepahijala district”, he said. He said they will be produced before the court.
