Tripura Police on Monday late night arrested two persons and seized contraband items worth lakh rupee.
Police sources said that on Monday late at night, the police of Dharmanagar police station conducted a raid at the house of Jamshed Ali in the Durgapur area of Dharmanagar on the basis of confidential information.
In this raid, 155 Yaba tablets, 6 kg of cannabis and cash amounting to Rs 5,000 were recovered from the house of Jamshed Ali along with a bike.
“Jamshed Ali (25) and his brother-in-law Babul Uddin (25) were arrested and brought to Dharmanagar police station and produced before the court”, said police.
It is noted that under the leadership of North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty, the police personnel of the district created a storm in the anti-drug campaign across the district.
