Two separate accidents occurred in Sepahijala and Belonia, resulting in a total of eight injuries.
The first accident took place in Bishalgarh, where seven people were injured in a head-on collision between a TATA Tigor and a Bolero vehicle. The Bolero car was travelling from Charilam to Agartala, while the TATA Tigor was heading to Udaipur from Bishalgarh.
Bishalgarh fire department personnel were alerted and quickly arrived at the scene. They transported seven injured individuals to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, and three of them were later referred to AGMC due to their critical condition.
The accident caused slight disruption to the traffic on the Agartala Sabroom national highway in both directions. It is worth noting that accidents in the Bishalgarh area have been on the rise recently.
In Belonia, another accident occurred when a 17-year-old bike rider named Sadai Kumar Tripura collided with a cow in the Chottakhola area under PR Bari police station at around 2 pm. As a result of the collision, Sadai Kumar Tripura sustained severe injuries. He was immediately taken to Niharnagar Primary Health Center for initial treatment, but due to the critical nature of his condition, he was referred to Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital. From there, he was further transferred to Udaipur District Hospital for specialized care.
